Q: What book/series do you think would make a better TV show than a movie?
Personally, I would love to see The Infernal Devices on the television screen. Steampunk is starting to become more popular every day, and Cassandra Clare's plotline is superb. A love triangle, a Mystique-like female character, adrenaline fights, betrayal, London!! NBC should be considering this right now.
While we are on the topic of TV/Book adaptations, has anyone seeing Lauren Oliver's Delirium pilot?
I wish the Delirium show would've happened! I'd watch the frick out of that!

I know, Emma Roberts would've done a good job.
DeleteNice! Didn't hear that Delirium didn't make it as a show! Remember hearing that a pilot was airing, but it didn't get a show? That's harsh on the fans man! And I never did read that one.

DeleteI didn't see the Delirium pilot, but I heard it was pretty bad. Too bad, I would have like to have seeing the series as a TV show.

It was very rushed!! The entire first book in 45 minutes :/
DeleteGreat choices. I'm an existing follower.

Thank you Diane :)
DeleteI saw the Delirium pilot and thought it was awesome! They so should have continued it. Although, I admit I've only gotten 120 pages into the book and am really bored.lol
ReplyDeleteThe Infernal Devices would be an interesting tv show. Great pick!

Oh no! You know the ending now O_O lol
DeleteClockwork Angel would make for a great TV show, even if I didn't love the later books as much as the first...

Still need to read the last one. I always postpone the finale

DeleteLOL. I agree with you about P&P. Did you notice in the Keira Knightly version, they had the actors saying their lines so fast they were practically talking on top of one another? And it was still a 2 1/2 hour film. I've read The Mortal Instruments, but haven't started Infernal Devices yet, though I intend to. Just not sure when. I wasn't overly impressed with the City of Bones film, so perhaps that one would have been better as a series as well. Following you via Bloglovin'. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great weekend! :D
ReplyDeleteI did notice that, it tired me out lol
DeleteI so agree!! This series would be awesome as a TV show. And I would LOVE to watch it. If they did it justice, that is :)

Here’s my FF!
We are filled up their fan base, lol.
DeleteHi, I'm a new Bloglovin' follower and it's my first time participating in FF. The Infernal Devices would be really good to see on TV. I saw the Delirium pilot and I thought it was pretty good but it just felt so rushed trying to cram everything into a 40 minute episode. If they spread it out it could be really good, though.

One scene cut after another, I can't believe how fast they went through the book. Whoa!
DeleteIs it bad....that I just stared at that picture of Colin Firth for like...a minute...?
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. I thought I had followed you awhile ago....but apparently, I hadn't. Haha. Followed via GFC.
Loool...hmm...had to pause just now to stare as well and nah, no one can blame you :p
DeleteWelcome to the hop :)
ReplyDeleteGreat picks.. and actually I saw the delirium episode one.. have you not seen that... omg.. I don't know what they were thinking.. they pretty much jam packed the whole pilot episode with the first book... i just couldn't believe it ! - Katie
