Feature and Follow Friday: Crazy Glue

Parajunkee Alison Can Read

FEATURE & FOLLOW FRIDAY

Once you answer be sure to leave me your link so I can follow you back

Q: How do you handle a book you don't like?Do you DNF or do you power through?

Once I start, I have to finish. It seems unfair, as a blogger, not to. Imagine a film critic leaving in the middle of a movie.

No, I wouldn't be able to review something I didn't experience as a whole. Of course, I wouldn't sugarcoat the review either.

  1. I feel the same as you-I have to read the entire thing even if I don't like it much (or at all). For me it is more so an OCD type thing where I can't leave things unfinished.

  2. It takes a lot of dedication to power through reads you're not enjoying. I admit that I have only DNF'd a few books. Probably less than 5 in all my blogging years. They were just ones that I couldn't get through despite my determination. I'm not proud of it, but there are just soooo many books piled in my room that I'd like to get through them all at some point.

    Here's my Follow Friday

  3. I try very hard not to DNF a book but if I can't get into it half way through I many DNF. I haven't DNF'd a review book but I am very selective when accepting offers so I don't find many that are so intolerable that I can't finish.

  4. Usually I will give a book 50-100 pages before I DNF if I'm not enjoying it. I used to power through but I no longer have the time and it turned reading into a chore. There are too many books on my tbr pile for me to feel guilty and I'm picky about what I read, so only have 1 DNF so far!

  5. I always try and finish a book, but sometimes I have too much to read. If I don't like the book, then I'll stop reading! I do try though!
